1 1/4 cup brown suga
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp cayenne
1 tbsp chili powder
1tsp onion powder
1 crushed and chopped garlic clove (bud)
What should I add for sweetness? Honey? Mo' suga? I'm gonna cut out the chili pepper and sub ground pepper next run. |
try this one, I think you will find more of the result you're looking for with the shift from using ketchup to using mustard, this will give you that sweet then spicy taste I think you're looking for, bring ingredients to a simmer and then refrigerate for an hour to take a little of the edge off
1 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
Add in below ingredients after you bring to a simmer and mix in until butter is completely melted and then let simmer for an additional 10min
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon liquid smoke _________________ Weber Spirit E-310
