Got up at 4 this morning to start the prep work for the group of guys coming over from church for the monthly men's breakfast. Mrs Jeepdad got up with me too she wanted to help.
Some of the fixin's!
First fatty was just the whole log dusted with Head Country.
Second fatty is granny smith apples and bacon.
Third fatty is Mrs jeepdad's first attempt at making a fatty (apples and bacon). Job well done Babe!
Fourth and fifth fatty are roasted pablano peppers and monterey jack cheese.
I dusted the four longer fatties with Big Ron's Rub.
While I wa setting up the chimney and smoker Mrs Jeepdad rolled the scotch eggs (first time too).
A dozen of these puppies! I know I left the bacon off this time. Will add it next go round.
It's a beautiful thang!
On the smoker at 5 am with mesquite chunks, Head Country and Big Ron's Rub. I had to put two of the sotch eggs on the lower grate! Its a rainy morning.
Gonna leave the rubs on the table if anyone wants extra.
I going up to take a shower. Mrs Jeepdad and Mom with make the coffee cake, white gravy, and biscuits. Will post finished pics if I don't get swamped with the taskers. Man o man.

You're making me hungry!
Hmm... You're in the next state, how much gas is in the Studebaker?
Guess you're safe, I didn't gas up this week...
I'll have to try fixing those things myself! _________________ Charlie Eck

I hope so JamesB it sure smells good in the kitchen and on the deck!
Mausersmth, HA!
Mom just made the first of two huge batches of white gravy. Mom makes it in a cast iron skillet this time with bacon grease then transfers it into this huge pan to keep warm. Man o man....

I wonder?
Hey Jeepdad, do you have a shotgun?
If so, could you load it with one of those apple/bacon fatties and aim for Baltimore?
Please?
No, I guess it won't work, I forgot shotguns are short range, it would land in the Potomac! _________________ Charlie Eck
