I was asked to help cook for a birthday party for my friends daughter over the weekend. To cut down on the time manning the grills I offered to make a pile of pulled pork for the party. There were 56 people total. I did not take pics of the party as it was not mine and I was busy manning the grills. We grilled Italian sausages, burgers, and a hand full of hot dogs for the kids and a few of the adults that were scared of the PP. Saturday I tossed 4 butts on the drum that were all 5-6lbs totaling about 23lbs of butts. I seasoned them up with mix of garlic, salt, onion, and pepper.
The butts were a hit as was the bottle of Roxy's crack sauce and jug of my vinegar sauce I brought.
Butts rubbed up and ready to go on the cooker
On the grate
At 165 and ready for foil
Rested and the start of the pull...........first butt fell apart as I tried to pick it up with forks to move over to the pan to pull... here is part of it. Got a decent ring
First butt pulled and in the pan foil pan

Glad to hear the crack sauce was a hit with your party.. I do hope you were able to get a sammich yourself. As a cook and infrequent cater/BBQ cook myself I do know how hard it is to be able to get a bit to eat while every one else is enjoying them selves... I tend to mop out a serving pan with a bun when its all over.. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

Thanks for the kind words.
Roxy I managed to get my sammy Satruday night when I was done pulling them The hounds also got their ususal fat scraps as well
davidlemi what I was reffering to as roxy's crack sauce was his mustard sauce. Here is the link _________________ "if you cant cook it in bacon grease it ain't worth eating"

I've only made Roxy's mustard sauce.
Where's the recipe for this other sauce? And where do you get the secret ingredient?
Seriously, I just made a quintuple batch of Roxy's mustard sauce for a couple of upcoming parties this month. Sure cleared up the sinuses while the mixture cooked down a little... _________________ Jimmie Ohio

Morrick no one went away hungry. I only factored 1/2 lb raw weight per person factoring in there would be other meats, older guests, and the ages and amount of young childern. In addition to the PP I made we grilled up some burgers, a pile of hot dogs, and some italian sausages. There were lots of sides. 2 kinds of tater salad, slaw, beans, and other goodies. You really should build yourself a UDS. Once I get it to temp I can walk away, do what I want without being tied to my cooker, and come back hours later and it is still chugging along. Heck half the time I load it up, leave the house for hours, and come back to meat ready to eat! During this cook I mowed my lawn then went fishing for a few hours. It also holds temps with no need for additonal insulation in our arctic like winter here with no problem at all. _________________ "if you cant cook it in bacon grease it ain't worth eating"
