Just getting around to posting it. Busy, busy... Anyway, my neighbor, Stanley, told me Thursday he'd bring over ribeyes on Friday if I would cook them. He was about to soak them in a commercial marinade, but I persuaded him that we'd use some rub I got sent out of Texas instead. We also made 24 or so ABTs, and taters. We seasoned the taters with Todd's.
Stanley guarding the ABTs on the Weber...
Stanley's dog Trouble gets a sip...
Ol Jim gets him a sip, too!
Finished ABTs...
Meanwhile, steaks and taters on the gasser...
Here's a plate!
Stanley says have another mater!
Wifie Sue likes it all!
Some of the carnage...
It was real good, and real fun! Thanks for looking! _________________ Double-Barrel Smoker

I love the pic of Stanley holding on to the pole guarding the ABT's or was the pole holding up Stanley _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Uh, since it was about 7 p.m. when that was taken, and he had been drinking since noon, the post was holding ol Stanley up, I am sure! That was so much fun, we might do it again this Friday.
A couple years back, Stanley was given a new Wally World Brinkman gasser for his birthday. He used that grill up, plus the humidity and damp weather got to it. The grates just crumbled, and the burner burned through. He works construction, an iffy biz right now, and so doesn't have the money just to trot down and get another one. So if it's grilled, he has to go elsewhere right now to get it.
I've got a barrel and all the materials to build him a UDS, but just haven't had the time to do it yet. _________________ Double-Barrel Smoker
