Question I have the downloaded plans for a Smoker....from cypnatman@compuvices.com, It's a little big for me (500 gallon propane tank.)
I need to know the sizes of openings, smoke stack, chokes, hole size from fire box to cooker, etc. ? What should I make them?
My cooker tank is Round 32" X 68"
Fire box is Round, 22"X 34"
I have the trailer.
IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME, I WOULD SURE APPRECIATE IT.
THANKS, Don Dever firework@peoplepc.com

Door openings - I would make it a two door so you don't need a counter weight. Measure 1" out from each end seam and leave only 2" between doors. 12" Thermos can be installed in the strip between doors.

Smoke stack - Two 6" thin wall pipe would be fine. Figure the area of that circle and make your intake dampers as close as possible to that size. I recommend a shutter style intake damper.

chokes? Not sure what you mean here.

Hole size from fire box to cooker - 1/3 the diameter will be fine. Don't forget the full width heat baffle.

Don I think you have a 250 gallon tank this is the size of a 500 gallon tank

The tank size is approximately 9 feet 11 inches long and 37 1/2 inches in diameter. A 500 gallon tank holds 400 gallons of propane.

Good luck with the build, it will be fun. Here is some pictures of a 150 gal tank that is still need to add a few items to

PM me your email address and I will send you a bunch of pictures of the smoker I built using these same plans.

I used a 250 gallon tank, that I cut down to about 7' long.
