Hello to everybody! My name is Sean and I've recently joined the smoker fraternity. For years I've been a griller. Started with charcoal, but then went to gas for the convenience. I've been able to cook some really, really good ribs on that gas grill, but then I was bit by the pulled pork bug.
I had a Weber Smokey Joe, but it wasn't big enough to cook a couple of pork butts, so what to do? On a recent trip I spied a nice looking grill and took note of the name - Traeger. Upon returning home I did some research and decided it was the grill for me, so I'm now the proud owner of a Traeger 124. I LOVE this smoker! Ribs, tri-tip, chicken, salmon - all of it comes out delicious! And tonight, I'm going to do my first batch of pulled pork on it. Should be an adventure and I'm going to make a post in another section on the endeavor. 30 pounds of pork for a birthday party!
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and explain how I came to this forum. Look forward to sharing with, and learning from, all of you!

Welcome to the Ring Sean! You'll be amazed how much experience there is to draw upon from some of these folks, so as good as your food currently is, I'd be suprised if you don't find it's even better after incorporating some of the ideas you'll find here.
Best piece of advice I can give you? Make extensive use of the <Search> functions here in the forum. I'd bet you can't come up with a question that hasn't already been answered, or at least seriously debated, here at some point.
Looking forward to hearing of your successes! _________________ ============================

I have no doubt whatsoever that you are correct! I look forward to improving my smoking/grilling by standing on the shoulders of those that came before me.
