Am curious..... before smoking after a winter storage, do you usually fire up your smokers for a test run? Maybe just fire it up and get to smoking? What's your thought on this subject?
Thanks

Cajun,

I have always taking the time to give it a good cleaning. I also live in the cold area and clean everything out and scrub it let it dry and wipe with veggie oil before I shut it down for the winter. Then come spring I touch up anything outside with BBQ spray and wipe it with another dose of veggie oil as the last years might have a funny flavor. Then fire it up and do a hot burn (350) or so. let it cool and you are set to go.

Happy Q'n
