Hello All,
I know we are in the heat of summer here, but my wife and I were talking the other day about how nice it would be to have smoked turkey for Thanksgiving. It can get kind of cold here in NY around that time. What is the coldest you have fired up the smoker, and can anyone offer up any tips. I have a Weber bullet.
thanks in advance.

The coldest I have ever smoked in was 5 above 0,windy, freezing rain. You name it.A welding blanket is a must,A place to put the cooker out of the wind, rain, snow, whatever Mother nature is throwing at You.I would say,Fire that bad dog WSM up and put one on for Your little lady,She'll love You for it. _________________ Lang 84 delux long neck chargrill.

| I smoker year round. Never used a welding blanket, but I should probably try it. I too find the biggest problem to be the wind. Get out of the wind and things seem to work better. |

-20 with a shelter from the wind. I was using the Klose and had to open up the firebox air intake a bit more than normal. I cooked 12 racks of ribs for a Super Bowl party. Yes I am insane |

The rain and wind.Around here they are never very far from 1 another. The rain pouring in the hinge line of the doors and hitting my reverse flow pan kills Me.The welding blanket is good for shedding water, not to mention its good to 1200 degrees, nothing to worry about.
Glad We were able to give You some helpful advice.
Good eats.
