Beautiful!

I only see one problem...
How can you call this work of art a UDS? Shocked
It's not a drum.
It's the opposite of ugly!

It needs a new category!
I suggest PBS! (Pretty Barrel Smoker)

What do you think? Cool

CB,
Surfing old entries and found this. Truly brilliant. Much nicer looking than a BGE. How have the cooks gone when you've used it?

Like a wooden boat, you don't want it to dry out!
It's art that cooks!

CB,
That is just awsome! You just never know what you will see here on the Somke Ring! That is just too cool looking. Cool I don't know how I missed it earlier.
I drive by oak drums like that everyday at an antique shop. I might just have to see what they want for one. Very Happy

CB,
Do you think if you lined the inside with over lapping strips of aluminum roof flashing that it would still need the soaking?

Im not sure if the flashing would reflect the heat away from the wood or not Tom,im not really sure if I want any aluminum in the cooker at all.I fill it up after every 2-3 cooks and let it sit for a couple days and its good to go.
