Dirtbag tending the chimney will give me the thumbs up when ready. Dirtbag went missing yesterday. When he showed up he had on his new pants. He said "Jeep, the pants are just like my hero wears." Dirtbag didn't tell me who his hero was. He just said "He Rox!"

Here it is! My MIL flew in yesterday from Georgia. I pull this out of a Jello mold. She said what is that? I told her that it was a lobster Jello mold that I was trying to make the meat loaf look like a lobster. She said that it looked more like a certain appendage that her deceased husband had! so I put ketchup. Got to love that women! Laughing Laughing

Introducing the JBAR Burger. I wanted to keep it simple and I love burgers its one of my favorite foods. And I was able to blend two of my favorite appetizers. Here goes: Jeepdad's Beef-ABT-Rind Burger (JBAR)

Smoked some ABTs without the little smokey inside. I thought it would do better binding wise without it.

Some 80/20 ground beef. I added an egg to use for binding.

Added pork rinds to the beef.

Crunched the rinds up and added a boatload of tabasco sauce. The sauce will soak into the rinds and hopefully hold the flavor in the meat.

All mixed together.

Made two patties.

Put three ABTs into the procesor.

Man it smells so good.

Added the mixture on the patty.

Put the other patty over the top and pinched the two together.

Made several more.

On the smoker with several normal burgers for the family.

Added an egg wash to the JBAR burgers to help hold it together. Man the aroma of the hot sauce and ABTs is amazing. I hope it turns out well. Will post finished pics. I love burgers!

I Was really happy with the flavor,, the fresh herbs really made a huge differance, and any thing with coarse garlic I love . The whole smokieness <take> really combined well with the rich gravey and with the smokeyness of the vegtables it blened well. You have to love the way that fresh mozzarella pulls and its creamy. I got Kudos on it from everyone that ate it soooo,, Mrs Kam I love they way yours is looking ,, how are you keeping the Mrs drool off it?? And Mr KAM you know I didnt use that giant thing I chopped up small ones instead,, that will have to be zuccini bread this week. Laughing Laughing

k.a.m., I thought I was creating something new you've put rinds in ground beef before? I shoulda known someone on the Ring has done it before.

Finished pics:

Done.

Plated with corn on the cob and tater chips.

I gotta say this burger was very tasty. i will make it again. The tobasco flavor was awesome and add to that the flavor of the ABT. Man, I liked it.
