Ooooh - MAJOR OUCHIE!

On the up side: if you have someone to fetch you the fixings, you're actually perfectly qualified to tend a smoker for just as long as it takes Wink

Heal up soon, man...

Cheers

Dang dude! Let us know how everything turns out.

If you're not gonna Q or post pics for a while, you're gonna have to scan a doctors note for us proving your restrictions.

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Hope everything goes well.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Troy!

I'd give you a solid -5.0 on the dismount. Confused Shocked Mad Crying or Very sad

Sorry you got dinged up.

But after the surgery, and cast, you will have some time to sit around the BBQ and do some cooking! Cool

Just a friendly tip: If you smoke (cigarettes) now is the time to quit.

That will heal up a lot quicker if you do.

I've had friends sustain similar injuries motorcycling, and the non-smokers heal up a lot quicker.................................

Troy, that looks like it hurt Shocked I hope you heal up fast, but don't push it, sit around the cooker and point and click Smile Last year I had launched Mrs. K.A.M. and was fixing to step into the boat, it was a little windy and she was having a time getting it close so I stretched out with my left leg to hook the boat with my foot and Bam, groin pull, I folded like a cheap lawn chair.

Were you on the fox-chain or river? or were you out on the big lake when this happened? Obviously you didn't go to NIMC for treatment, they would have refused to take films and said "Your fine, Nothing is wrong" and sent you home with broken bones with no treatment.

I think you could find some Q-Minions to help you shuttle food in & out, while siting there tending the cooker with an elevated leg and a cold soda in one hand and a container of vicoden in the other.

Hint;
If you are taking narcotic pain meds, purchase a stool-softener or a mild laxative to go along with them. Those pesky doctors seem to not tell anyone that little tidbit!

get well soon!

Let a little pain stop me from BBQ? No way Laughing I had back surgery a month ago, a week after I was making ribs. Yesterday was 15 pounds of pulled pork, coleslaw, homemade baked beans, pasta salad, and my version of a Carolina sauce(50/50 cider vinegar/ketchup, sugar, red pepper flakes simmered).
