“you ruined me on BBQ” at diner tonight. She had a catered lunch at work and they served PP sammy’s, big shocker, a big disappointment to her. She has always told me she likes my BBQ but this confirms it. Only the real deal can pass the wife at this point , she described an oven baked product that was marginal at best.
Thanks Smokering , my cooking has improved 200% since finding this place.
Cheers

| We went to a cookout at my girls brothers house and he was bring the boiled ribs out to "smoke" for 30 minutes on his char griller. He was upset when she did not want to try them. |

yep, over here too. My wife took me to a birthday of her friend were they were to light the grill. She told me it was going to be difficult to not say anything but we were going to eat, drink and keep our mouths shut about the food
to be honest, the grilling was not all that bad, went well with a cuba libre. But it was not in the same league as slow smoked food. _________________ offset smoker

'grats on that - quite a feeling to know you've set a high standard!
Haven't quite heard that one yet, but early this week I did get a good one from the wife. I did the smoked chuck roast last weekend, and she had leftovers for lunch on Monday. She IMd me at work, unsolicited, just to say that the meat was really good. I smiled. The more she likes, the more I get to cook... all good! _________________ ========================

| My wife asked if I wanted to go to Shanes the other night and I said no. She was surprised and commented that I used to love Shanes. I said, "yeah, that was before the smokering". I am pretty much a bbq snob now. |

Thanks guys. Once they get the flavor of real BBQ you can't go back. I was like wow, I am not the only BQ snob in the house anymore
Even my girls tell me its the best bbq they ever had. I am hoping its just not because its the only slow and low they have had before _________________ “Franken Smoker”

Awesome story. My wife is the same way. The ultimate for me was when my neighbor's vegetarian daughter in-law converted back to eating meat after having my specialty ribs.

My wife loves me to BBQ. It's one hobby that she ends up enjoying too. She doesn't have to cook and keeps the kitchen cool in the dead of summer. _________________ Chargriller Smokin' Pro
