On the smoker and just about ready to come off.. Used an empty water pan with the vents open and it ran about 300 degrees.. The cracklin was awesome.
Ready for a rest while I make the pesto cream sauce.
All plated up and about as fancy as I can make it.
Good luck guys, look forward to the rest of the entries in this throw down.. |
pretty nice looking first entry. you have my vote for first. |
Hmmm - Judge Brinnie Here - Doe's this mean we have to do a ''premature adjudication '' |
i asked to be a judge but i never got an answer. im to poor to cook so i may as well lick my screen and hand out internet trophies. |

roxy, awesome looking pork loin you have there. I really like the pesto sauce idea. Nice even color and the plate up is gold. Nicely done.
Looks like it will be a race between me and roxy. The rest of you should take your crayons and color!

P.S. Judges, checks are in the mail tucked under the case of cold ones, to the left of the bottle of whiskey, next to the box of cigars, to the right of the season tickets of your favorite sports team, tied to the keys of your new Ford F150 (smaller key is for the boat), and with the receipt of your new smoker to be delivered Monday. |

roxy, thats an awesome job for sure my man That loin looks delicious no doubt about it, and the pesto cream sauce certainly kicked it up a notch . I believe this throw down is going to bring some fine recipes. But sit back and relax my friend cause k.a.m.'s coming to town. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Hey there Roxy, I'll be judge #6.
I promise not to go to the store and buy k.a.m. ingredients, I promise not to help him prepare his entry, I promise not to watch anything that he does, I promise not to take any pics, I promise not to taste it after it's cooked. I promise to be as unbiased as I possibly can.
If this all takes place k.a.m. will be in the hurt locker.
I hope k.a.m. doesn't noticed I posted this _________________ Got Fire?

I think I might be doing Saturday as well.
I have to do 20 pounds of pork butt for a friend Sat night to deliver Sunday, so the ol' WSM will be nice and warm for the butts.
EDIT: Saturday is looking nice.
