After a year of fighting the ECB I've decided it is time to move up to something a little nicer. Our local home center has the Brinkmann Smoke N Pit Smoke King for $199.00. One of the reasons I like this grill is the offset fire box that doubles as a grill and it has a door on the end so I could use wood along with charcoal. I have searched everywhere and can't find any reviews or threads regarding this particular model. Does anyone know anything about it ?

I think you will be fine. The design is a sound one. Not sure on the quality but again I think you will be happy with your selection.

I have that cooker, and it has been great. However, you need to do the mods to achieve the greatest efficiency. A baffle and raising the fire grate are essential, and a fire basket is very convenient.
