Thanks y'all! |
With out a doubt! The best forum and best people around! I'm always learning something new, getting inspiration (and a hungry stomach) from all the pics, and occasionally a good laugh!
Cheers! |

Thanks to everyone who contributes to the site in a constructive fashion, every little helps, the questions we feel silly asking often produce some valuable insights into others tips, tricks and techniques, for their style of BBQ.
You could read the membership list onto this thread, and if the person has a post on that list, they will have made a contribution to the site.
I'd also like to add my thanks to those who lurk, but learn and guide others to this site in their daily lives.
If you're a learning lurker you're welcome to continue to lurk, but if you ever feel the need or desire to put a question to the boards, then stick it out there, you should know by now that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask!
Thanks to Garry for having the site in place, and allowing me to moderate it. _________________ Here's a change Robert.

I too would like to thank the board and members here for being so understanding and always encouraging rather than demeaning. It truly shows the level of gentlemen here. The list is too long to start.
I started building these things before I discovered this board but if you look at my last build you can tell I sure have learned a lot here.
Thanks to all and I will tip one in salute to ya tonight. _________________ The Wild Pig build.

Boomer...
It really is All About Folk like YOU that make The Smoke Ring what it is!
It wasn't all that long ago that we ALL were "Newbies"...tripping over our
words and ,at times, throwing out some words that should not be repeated
here...
Thanks for starting this thread ,Pal! Yeah, You're right...sometimes We go too fast without thinking to give an "Attaboy" now and then!
A Special Thank You to Garry for creating this One of a Kind Site and
Forum for Us to have fun and learn with...
And to Soezzy for having the patience and everday wisdom and common sense that it takes to deal with the thousands that come here.
And Thank You to ALL our Smoke Ring Brothers and Sisters who make this THE Barbecue site that it is Today!
You Rock!!!
Best Regards, Tony |

Well said everyone.
Anytime someone wants to know of a good site for BBQ, The SmokeRing is the place I tell them to go. A better groupf of folks you won't meet. It almost seems like yesterday that I ruined my first brisket.
Thanks to everyone here that has ever taken time to answer a question, give advice or give a push in the right direction to someone just looking to make better Q.
Thanks Garry and SoEzzy for keeping this going.

k.a.m. Brinnie, Sirsmokealot, Chuck,
and Tony
Thanks for the nice things you said. I am sure sooner or
later someone would have started this post.
I feel better knowing that that everyone feels the same
way I do about the RING and our brothers and sisters that
are members.
I will tell you one more thing, that I really like. The
way every one is greeted on introduce yourself. There
are a couple members that always make the new people
feel like they are really welcome to the forum.
And I think that is one thing that makes us a better
BBQ Forum. Everyone is sometimes a little leary,
but is usually put at ease with the Smokering Welcome
Mat Group
I know it made an old coal region boy secure enough to ask
his first 10 dumb qustions.

The thing that makes the forum useful is the posts from all the knowledgable, and helpful members. It's all of you that make the forum what it is. My appreciation goes out to SOEZZY for all his help moderating the forums.

I cannot thank the Ring enough for bringing charcoal back into my life!
It is a shame we are separated by vast distance thus preventing us from gathering together. Perhaps geographical groups can be formed with annual get togethers or friendly cook-offs. JAT
Anyways thanks again to all who have helped me to improve my que! _________________ Gary

I'm so glad I came back, didn't know how much I'd missed it until I did... There are the occasional flare-ups, but 99.9% of the time the talk is positive and constructive... but giving people a little grief is fine too...

| Boomer thanks for the post and to all on the ring. If it wasn't for people like you and Stilwell Chuck, I would still be wondering around aimlessly thinking about building a pit. This forum is saturated with many people who constantly strive to improve and inspire others in the world of "Qing" my hats off to you all, and another round of thanks goes out to you all. |

This is the best BBQ site on the entire web. Without this site countless pounds of beef, pork and poultry would have been denied their right to be properly prepared, rubbed and smoked. Everyone on here is an asset to the BBQ world. If it wasn't for this site I would have given up on real BBQ years ago. Thanks to everyone that contributes and experiments to help provide all of us with the confidence to Q. _________________ Weber 22.5 Kettle and Smokenator w/ Hovergrill
