Have tried finding lump coal source in Washington State" Seattle",but have had no luck.I know I can buy it at the local grocery stores ,but was wondering if there was a different source other that a grocery store???If not might have to have some family in Texas send me some by freight.Any info. would be appreciated...

Thanks for all the links....will try one of those sources and also I am hoping to get some bags shipped to me from family in Texas,when one of them drives up here....I know where I can get it a lot cheaper down there...

Wal mart carries RO lump charcoal. Also go to a cash and carry they carry Lazzarai mesquite lump in 40lb bags, and its on sale right now for $10.99.

That's a smokin' deal on the Lazzari lump at $0.275 / lb!!!

I thought I was doing good buying Best of the West mesquite lump at Sam's Club for $0.36 / lb!

You can also find Wicked Good at fireplace shops, however it's a bit expensive @ $28/22# bag. Otherwise Royal Oak @ WalMart is pretty good bang for your buck.

Sorry. I aint going to pay a dollar + per pound for charcoal. And RO is not all that great at .62 or .64/lb.

I saw that you posted to another thread concerning charcoal.
You live near a Cash+Carry, they dont require a membership and they sell Lazzarai for cheap and its the best stuff i have tried to date for the money.

yes, there's pros/cons to mesquite that i was trying to research, but couldn't find anything helpful, other than be careful with it?

I got two bags of kingsford competition from costco i have to use up first, next i'm going to try the mesquite from C&C as it is really inexpensive.

Good link and i talked to him some years back but he was hard to get a phone from. Hopefully things have changed.
I will always recommend C+C and find a tree company.
