That looks great k.a.m.! I always like to see all of the clever ideas you come up with during your builds! Looking forward to the first cook pictures. Cool

Looking good k.a.m. is momma happy with your work? I just fired mine up for the first time this a.m. These things are just as good as my WSM only larger. It held perfect at 225 to 245 all day on a third of a basket of charcoal. Did 36 a.b.t's for a grad party today. Gotta love the looks people give when they see there 1st a.b.t. most say what the hell are these then go back for more or ask how ya made them.

Thanks marleyman, let me know what you come up with.

Thanks necron 99, I bet that was fine ride Very Happy The basket is the larger version of yours I built, same design just bigger and legs attached.

Thanks Robert, it is definitely getting attention from our neighbors, they are like what is that? Laughing

Thanks morick.

Thanks Tom C, a lot of sleepless nights, some times I like a mad scientist with my scratch pad and notes Laughing

Thanks Skidder, She is happy so far, yesterday we seasoned it, I am hoping the fact of to many hot coals at once was why I could not keep the temps down, but it made some great burgers and dogs for us and the granddaughter. Very Happy I know what you mean about the ABT's I love telling some one the menu that has never had one. Laughing

k.a.m. only problem I had was I guess the bacon grease dripped down and puddled and when I took the cover off the temp. went to almost 400 and caught the grease on fire. Nothing the welding gloves couldn't handle but I did have to get the ABT's off quick before the fire fighters arrived. Then again they sure would have had some good eats.
