This is just a general question on cooking times. When setting the time do you use the total weight of the items ot the weight of each item by it's self? I have 4 1.5 pound pork loins to smoke today. each one would be just over an hour (45 min/lb) but together it would be over 4 hours.
Thanks, Steve

I would use the time for just one because the cook independently. The exception IMO would be if you are nearing the capacity limit of your smoker.

its always for the individual piece of meat, but be careful with tenderloins on the low and slow method they tend to dry out and get stringy you may want to spritz or drape with bacon or wrap once you get a good smoke flavor in them

If all four loins are the same weight ,it will cook the same time as it takes for one to cook.
