PART I

The weekend started on Friday with a small Catering gig where I cooked 4 Butts for a neighbors 50th B-Day party. While going to the store that day I found Tri-Tip!! While this may not seem like a big deal to alot of you here, this is the first time in the history of N.E. Indiana tri-tip has ever been stocked in the meat case! I had to buy. Later that evening I took off to my parents lake cottage for the Holiday weekend. Saturday's feast consisted of three racks of spares, a pork loin, and two turkey breasts. Here's the pics...

I got to give credit to kickassbbq for the method in which I cooked these butts. 350 degrees for about 5 1/2 hrs. Shocked Seriously, if you have to get something done real fast, and your cooker can consistantly run those temps, It's definately the way to go! (don't tell my wife though Wink )

Raging fire to get that high temp I need

Still need thin blue smoke Wink

1.5 hours

3 hours

5.5 hours done! Cool

Pulled

If I got the temp that high I might as well through the tri-tip on instead of grilling, right? WRONG! I cooked it to much for my taste, it was good just a little done for me.

4.99/lb. not such a deal, but who cares?

Simple on the seasoning, EVOO, Black pepper, crazy janes mixed up salt, and a garlic pepper grinder.

On the cooker

143 degrees Embarassed Crying or Very sad

Cut up and put on a tort

To be continued..........

Dude... That has to be some of the best looking BBQ I have seen posted in a while. Great colour and it all looked like it as cooked to perfection..

Well done.

I think the bloody Caesar is one of my favorite drinks.. But it does need some horseradish.. Wink

SSA

The color on all your meat is simply INCREDIBLE. WOW

Too bad you can't put the cooker on the boat, or a real big
uke intertube and float and fish.

All the food looked really great. And thanks for posting
a pic of a bloody I thought the ring was starting to dry up.
