Hey Folks,
I thinking about a Traeger.
Here is why. I have been on 12 to 14 hour days every other weekend for the last 10 months.
Thinking this might work to start it before work and left the wife pull the food when she get off of work.
I'm I being to taken by the ads?
Please advise.

| As long as you know your temp swings (if any) and you have a hopper full of pellets to last that long, you should be alright. |

Can't go wrong with the Traeger or another brand of pellet cookers. I have the Traeger 075 and sure beats the fire tending. Make sure you get the digital controller as this will help control the temp (not 100%) but a must instead of the 3 position controller. _________________ Support &/or volunteer for Special Olympics!!!

Get it!
I run my traeger (075) all night for butts and brisket without a problem.
As long as you have pellets you are good to.
Here is a little story for you. My wife hates fire (which is funny because I am a firefighter) anyways, she refused to use my gas grill. However, SHE uses the Traeger 2-3x a week. She can set the temp, and in 15 minutes put the meat on. When it is done, she takes the meat off and shuts down the grill.
Get the digital thermostat, it is the only way to go.
The Traegers are all they claim to be, and I would imagine other pellet cookers are too, but I own a Traeger.
Feel free to send me a PM if you have any specific questions.

I have a commercial Traeger (COM 200). Been using one of these for more than two years and I'm sold on pellets 100%! _________________ Ole Hickory EL-EDX

| I know all you other Traeger owners insist on the digital thermostat, but I have the three position setting and have no problems. I have come close to buying one, but I guess I am just too comfortable with what I have. The medium setting keeps right between 225 - 250 and high gets me between 425 - 450. The only problem is if I have to do something in the 350 - 375 range, but I don't do it that often. If I do, I just monitor it and maybe prop the lid open for a bit. Just my 2 cents. |
