WOW, Stuff goes on sale for holidays in other parts of the country ???

things go up in price around here so all the business owners can gouge the tourists. And then we end up suffering becuase of it. Gasoline jumped $0.60 in the last 4 days in this area. I expect it will go down again on Tuesday when all the weekend warriors leave.

We're back home tonight. Dropped off 3 tri tip roasts at the k.a.m.'s on the way home this afternoon.

Matherne's has pork loin back ribs on sale for $2.99/lb., and always has some really nicely trimmed meaty ones in their meat case. Matherne's also has USDA Choice Angus packer briskets on sale for $1.99/lb.

Albertson's has packer briskets on sale $1.99/lb., their 'supreme beef', which is either USDA Select or no-roll depending on the brisket in the meat case there in my experience. They also have whole fryers on sale for $0.69/lb. for poultry. Boneless pork loin for $1.68 /lb (ends today).

Rouse's has pork loin back ribs $2.89/lb. and 16-20 count fresh shrimp for $3.98/lb. I got 5 pounds of 10-15 count fresh shrimp week before Memorial Day so I'm already set there.

Winn Dixie has nothing to compare with these specials in my area.
