How did you find out the number of entries?

I'm debating entering the amateur comp, but not really trying to go up against a large amount of competition. I'm thinking the bird catagory might be one of the easier ones. I'm damn good with the pig, but know many others take it more seriously than me.

Thought I would check the NOAA site and see what there weather forecast was.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84.

Looks like we might need a rain coat at least for a few hours![/b]

I'll be coming from out of town and will need to get some wood chunks (hickory, cherry and apple) for the contest. Can anyone suggest a place? Looking for chunks, not logs and not chips. Thanks!!!

Cheers!

I picked up a bag of hickory chunks from walmart about a month ago and was surpised at the size of the chunks. They were hardly any chips in the bag. That is probably your best bet at this point.

if you are coming from the north down i-85 stop at bass pro shop they have had apple and cherry and hickory in the past. you can always find hickory chunks at lowes or home depot and there is one of each in gastonia and i think there is also one at 321 and 27 right by downtown lincolnton but don't hold me to that one.

That's right Kjash, Looks like we will have a good turn out! Also didn't know there was anyone else on the ring local, Stop my tent this weekend and say Hey!

I think that most of the rain is coming tonight, the weather channel is saying 60% tomorrow. Could be a wet one!

*What time is everyone showing up tomorrow???*
