Gomez,

You owe it to yourself to try some lump charcoals from south of the Rio Grande. I've never found any man-made insulation stuff in lump charcoal I've used that was produced in Mexico or South America. Here's a couple of alternatives to Royal Oak lump.

I realize Winfield isn't the biggest city in Kansas, but Ace shows a location in Ark City, and lots of stores in Wichita, where you could order some Frontier lump with free ship-to-store.

Or, order some Barbeque Wood Flavors lump to pick up at a DoItBest hardware store in Wichita (or Independance).

I checked the two Sam's Club stores in Wichita on-line, but Best of the West lump shows "Item Unavailable" at both such stores. Crying or Very sad

Thanks necron, we're gonna be in Wichita tomorrow so we'll do some checking. There is a hardware store up there that is a Good-One distributor but the times we've checked they didn't have any of the Good-One lump. I also got a response from Lazzari and they have a distributor out near Dodge City, I may have to make a road trip Laughing The Lazzari is Mexican mesquite lump, so I do have some options to play with
