We're looking forward to seeing everybody this weekend. Anyone care to split a box of parsley?
Just found out that Brother Bill Arnold of Blues Hog fame will be joining us at Bixby!
See you all soon -

We're looking forward to seeing everyone again !! No parsley for us, I think we're going to use Okla parsley: clover ! see if we get style points for being Okla proud and "recycling" natural organic Okla products ! What we didn't need to know is you're going to be even harder to top now w/ Brother Bill at your side ! Oh well....it's the Party we go for.... Go Ringers !! _________________ Livin' at the Edge of Adhesion, till Smokin' Time.. then it's OSoSlow: Chillin' Time!

Keri - please add us to the parsley list. Thank you.
Yep, we are looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. Has anyone heard what time the cooks meeting is Friday night? I sure hope the ground dries a little bit or that place is going to be a muddy mess -- and the sod farm/parking area as well. _________________ Steve

One other year when I thought it was going to be a muddy mess, it proved to be much less gooey than we thought, mainly due to all the sand in the area.
Has anyone received a packet on either Bixby or Claremore yet? I did get an e-mail confirmation a while back on Bixby, but haven't heard anything from Claremore. They cashed my check, though, so I know they got my application.
And don't get too excited, Bob... Brother Bill isn't "joining us" specifically - he'll be cooking under the Blues Hog banner. Now if those girls of his come along, we may be claiming THEM to cook with us...
So- anyone up for biscuits and gravy Saturday morning?

I think the email confirmation is all we have gotten for Bixby as well.
Biscuits and gravy on Saturday sounds great. We'll bring the jello-shots.
I think I'm going to bring a couple bails of hay just in case it gets muddy in our camp area. _________________ Steve

I thought they had a cap of like 75 teams. Maybe that was a different comp. Anyhow, It's going to be interesting to see how they fit over 100 teams down in that hole. _________________ Joshua S.

We'll be there... I'm bringing the washer toss since we'll be in grass... more like mud I guess from the looks of it. Just don't sit your beer on the ground while you are throwing if you're playin on Scot's end. If you do, bring extra because it goes fast...

Who all is going to spot vehicles/trailers Thursday night? Are they going to have security all night on Thursday?
Michael Collins is coming in for Saturday morning shots.

I doubt there will be security. That's why we decided to not to take the travel trailer out on Thursday. We'll just head out there early on Friday so we can get in and all set up before the masses get there. It takes me awhile to get that trailer parked and set up. _________________ Steve

I am not too worried about all the rain. Remember last year we had about 4 inches over two days prior to the contest. Feared it would be a hog pit by sunday. Very few spots with mud. The sandy loam drained well and was very firm.
See everyone Friday.
