| The tank was $200. and a piece of pipe the same diameter was $215. without the ends on. I figured the tank was all set for the firebox once i cut the door. So far the project has cost me $225. |

Good score on the tank. Where did you pick it up from?

Finally hitting the home stretch. Got the grates done, smoke stack, wheels mounted and the door, hinges, and handle installed. Also added the temp gauges. Have the shelf made ready to install and need to add a counter weight for the door.

that looks awesome, the only thing thats bothering me about it is the
big rubber tires so close to the fire box. maybe they just look close in the
picture. enjoy your new toy!! _________________ If animals weren't meant to be eaten they wouldn't have been made out of meat. |

k.a.m. Thanks for help with this build
Tom C It won't be long now before the smoke starts
UpInSmoke67 The fire box is lined with firebrick splits and the charcoal/wood basket is at the door height and i'm hoping the tires don't get to hot. |

plbass, My oh My you did it my man She turned out simply awesome. I love it. Your paint job turned out fantastic. And from the looks of those ribs and ABT's you have her dialed in just right. Nicely done _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Smoker turned out nice, was noticing in the pics that you might need a little more air intake, is the smoke white or just the way the camera took the pic? _________________ Patio Smoker Grill

That's a great looking smoker, nice job on the build!
And the results bear that all out quite well.
It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like there's enough room between the tires and the frame to stick a pair of fenders over the tires to block the firebox heat. If you're still concerned about that, of course...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I learned alot on the Ring and from listening to other builders. Its been a lot of cutting, welding, cutting and grinding and welding again. Its been well worth it.
HillbillySmoker, That was white smoke. I added to much wood and had just opened up the intake and the smoker burned a little hot for a while. |
