i just found a small cookshack smoker that looks like the smokette with the stand, it has 3 racks and it says the model is 008, i could not find anything on their web site about it but its manufacture date is 2001 and it has been setting for what looks like MANY years,
i paid 100.00 for it.
did i get a good deal?
it seemed like a fair price when looking at it. it needs to be cleaned up inside and out. i figured it would be nice for cooking my small meals on like salmon and chicken or abts. _________________ Jp

I was hoping to get that smoker, but I snoozed and you win. I called the company and they stop making that model this past year (The model 008 has been in production for about 9 years), and it sold for $500.00 new as of last year. So, Yes you got a Good deal as long as it works.
Now, if for some reason you find you don't like it and want to get ride of it keep me in mind!

The model 008/Smokette is the smaller of the two electrics they made until the new larger ones came out last fall.
New, that one went for about $450 or so. As it's built like a tank, and if all the parts work, you got a good deal.
