Don't waste anything!!!
Here is the carcass being boiled down for stock. Then after it boils, we will simmer it for 90 minutes... It makes for some really tasty stock!
Thanks to all of you who I have "stolen" ideas from... I'll be back to snatch a few more real soon!
cheers!

I really want to try making wine. I just really dig on on the "Home Grown' aspect of it. It just don't get no better!
Cheers,

I want to make wine myself. Anything made at home has the "care-n-love" that store bought just can't provide!
Cheers!

Looks like you had a great day and a wonderful meal. That's a healthy looking meal too.
I love making stock out of left overs and original "parts" of chickens. It makes for a great soup starter. I freeze it in ice trays now and then so I can save the "cubes" of frozen stock to use one at a time or all at once. Also melts faster that way.

Wow, that's a great idea [that I'm going to have to steal] Thanks CB!
Nailz - this thread is awesome! I've always wanted to set up a little brewery of my own. Great job on the bird! |

Great looking meal Nailz. I have friends that home brew, and I am not far from working that one out, slow and small at first, but yanno, I like beer so much, might be expanding real quick ...lol

Great looking Q, and brew as well. If you like to use Simcoe, next IPA you do try the Simcoe and Amarillo combination (If you have not already), it is one of my favs for IPA's. I also do a smoked IPA using that blend and Weyermann smoked malt. If you want the recipe (I do all grain as well) let me know and I'll PM it to you. _________________ Homebrewer extraordinaire, Barbecue newbie.
