A live scallop. Hard to get in down.
the liver of a monkfish, grasshoppers, ants, possum, squirrel, random birds, durian fruit, buddha's hand, too many to mention.
All kinds of things I don't consider weird, eventhough some of you do. Lots of raw fish, cheeks of many fish, octopus, squid, bear, snake, fish roe's of all sorts.
Could go on for days. |

The weirdest thing I ever ate was a mexican dish called tripas de leche. They are milk intestines of a cow that are fried or sauteed. As someone mentioned earlier I also have tried tripe in menudo. It was like chewing on rubber. I've also eaten snails, they looked and tasted disgusting.
All three were an experience. |

I rubbed down a cotton mouth snake with my butt rub and threw it in the smoker. Tastes like chicken. |

Same thing with gator meat. I tried smoking gator ribs once. Never again. _________________ "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits" - Albert Einstein |

My strangest foods would be on a trip to Iceland for work.
Whale Sashimi (raw whale) for an appetizer
Roast Puffin for the entree |

I would say mine was guinea pig when I was in Peru. The even make Jerky out of the little guys. Seems to be a delicacy there. Strange in taste but it could have been in my head too. |

I ate Kagogi (Dog) in Korea and it was not good. Also ate boiled silkworms which were just as foul. _________________ Dont worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I had fried rattle snake once which was actually good! I hate to say it but it was a lot like chicken or rabbit.
This snake almost bit my boss at the time. It was about six foot long. One of my fellow workers took it home and brought it back the next day slightly breaded and fried. _________________ Homemade offset smoker 24"x48"

Was hauled to Chinatown in Chicago as a teen with a family friend who was a Chinese doctor. He took us to a place where no english was spoken and they served jellyfish and sea cucumber. I had to eat it so as not to offend our host but the jellyfish was like chewing on a mouthful of rubberbands that would not break apart. As bad as that was, the sea cucumber (in other words: a disgusting looking underwater slug about a foot long) was sliced into sections that looked like wedges of snot. The consistancy was like a mouthful of snot. The taste... almost vomit inducing. And to think the Doc was disappointed they were out of duck's feet! _________________ No one expects the Spanish Inquisition. |

Lutefisk...fish soaked in lye , dried, and then freshened for your dining pleasure. I'm not saying it's bad ...it's just something you gotta try.

| Aged brick cheese cured in a cave, so strong it smelled of ammonia more than a couple slices would give you a gut ache. But OOOH those slices. but I am a big Limburger cheese fan. |

I lived in Korea for a year and ate a lot of street food so I'm pretty sure I've had cat and monkey. Maybe dog but it's usually served in soup. I did see a fridge case full of dog parts and whole skinned dogs. At first I didn't know what I was looking at until I saw the skinned dog split down the middle lengthwise. The world is a really F-ed up place. _________________ The American Atomic Buffalo Turd Society of America

that alone is why i have very little inclination to travel asia with the exception of thailand. we have a awesome thai street food place here in town that serves authentic thai street food. the guy is almost like a thai street food guru and takes foodies on thai food vacations 2x a year. |

Really? I liked it. Only ate it once though, just to try it. _________________ Kids call me paycheck, 'cause i'm so money.
