Greeting from Ontario Canada!
Looking at buying my first smoker. In, Canada smoking is not all that big of a thing, so selection is deffinately limited. I've got my eye on and electric. If I understand things correctly, its easier to regulate timepreture with electric... Correct me if I'm wrong.. Tell me what you think of the smoker in the link below...

electric is good if you want an even consistent heat or simply dont want to mess with chimney starters and charcoal or watching the fire. you will have to add wood for smoke.
i wouldnt mind electric but i'm a worry wort so i like to have the live fire thing so i can have something to watch and manage, giving me something to do. |

If you don't mind a charcoal type of smoker, look at the Weber Smokey Mountain... Operates with charcoal and wood chunks. Very forgiving and is very easy to regulate the temps... Almost as set it and forget it as an electric. It will take a bit more work as you have to get the coals going tho...
