Please allow me to introduce myself; My name is Raye Minor and I go under the handle "Olds."

I'm a member of the Bradley Forums and about one year ago the members came together and collected our time tested and proven recipes. Plus other important information for the home food smoker. Not all of the recipes are smokin' in nature. From that we put up a member owned "Recipe Site." Bradley has nothing to do with it.

This site is free to all. We claim no copyrights. To those who join us they are welcome to post their recipes if they so choose. There is one posting board where any member--Bradley or Non-Bradley may post their recipe. After that it is edited for format and then placed into the correct category. Anyone can just go there without joining and use any recipe they so like.

Also free to the members are two types of chat rooms. One is a regular chat the other one is VoIP (Voice over IP) chat. We try to get together every Tues nite for the regular chat. While the chat room is always up we meet anywhere from 7 pm EST to ??? Very Happy

We are a non-commercial site. We are glad to have grown enough to join this Ring.

In closing I will say that at the end of the day, no matter what type of smoker we use, we are all Food Smokers Under the Sun. The addy to the site is: http://www.susanminor.org

There is one open board to introduce yourself.

With that said,

Smoke On~~!

Hi Olds,

Welcome to the forum. Tell your friends over on the Bradley forum to come here and hang out. We have a nice recipe section here too. Laughing

Also, encourage that website to become an official Smoke Ring member if they are not already.

What part of the country are you located?

Tell us about your equipment and BBQ background and such.

Good to have ya.

It's all good.

I just received my March issue of the National Barbecue News and noticed an article about a recall on 2 models of Bradley smokers due to some incidents of electrical shocks.

Has this been mentioned over on the Bradley forum?

the recall info is at the bradley forum...

it was a while ago so it maybe burried deep by now...

what they did was take a perfectly fine 110 volt patch cord that was smoke generator male to smoke box female and turned it into a male to male patch cord...

thus making one male hot and exposed when the other male is plugged into the receptical... electricity 101 stuff...

you gotta eat...
