Hello All,

I plan on smoking a turkey breast and a spiral ham next Sunday for Easter dinner. Any tips on the method internal temp and length of time to smoke a ham? I've never attempted to smoke one. My plan is to purchase a spiral ham at the supermarket. Not sure when to cover it with tin foil as well.

Any help would be appreciated Laughing

The ham is already cooked so I just heat it up to 165
internal with your choice of wood for smoke. I don't
foil until it comes out of the smoker and take the foil
tent off before serving.

Thanks Milt. The pic's look awesome. I think I'll put pinapples on it as well. Did you have them on for the whole smoke?

When we do hams, they go in with only cloves, and get basted with apple cider, when done (165 internal) we pull them out of the cooker, sprinkle on our dry glaze mix, hit it with the weedburner torch to carmelize it, add the pineapple and cherries, then sprinkle some more glaze powder (Sugar, Ginger, Maybe some clove powder) and hit it again with the torch to get some color on the fruit too.

I did 2 kreschmire hams. one with aliens cherry ham recipe, and one with cloves pineapple with a pineapple orange brownsugar glaze, they were both good, but everyone said hands down the cherry ham won

Mike Lawrys ,Spiral cut ham 101.

1. Spray the Ham with butter flavor Pam + sprinkle with black pepper only. (I use course grind)

2. Place flat side down in a foil pan.

3. Smoke low + slow (very lite smoke) till 130ish internal. No foil,

4. Glaze @100 internal with your fav glaze if wanted.

5. Thats it. Your friends will never want an oven baked ham again.

I keep the pineapples on through the whole cook.
When cooking for the wife and myself I keep it simple just splenda brown sugar (for diabetics) and pineapples.
