Gents, I propose that we put our heads together and dig up a consenssus of what we all feel are the "Ten Commandments of Que." It could be fun, sure to be frustrating, which is good fun in itself Laughing

If we can get 'em down, Maybe Good Ole' Gary would post 'em for us. Won't you Gary!

As a start, I propose:

"coals for heat, wood for smoke"

And I'm sure we can all agree on:

"cook it low and slow"

yeah, basically there is no way to get everyone to agree on anything..I dont think that I would ever put meat in a foil pan for cooking, but I wont think ill of those that do. That is just their thing..

I dont use foil and I like hickory..oh and 225 isnt magic..

I agree! I also disagree! I reserve the right to change my mind when proven wrong and to then take credit for the change.

Thou shalt not use liquid smoke! EVER!

Thou shalt not refer to grilled foods as BBQ!

Thou shalt not soak your wood or chips!

Thou shalt not peek under the lid!

Thou shalt not use Matchlight Charcoal.

Thou shalt not use lighter fluid!

Thou shalt not BBQ Bologna! It is unnatural!

Thou shalt not allow your meat to come into contact with white smoke!

Thou shalt not tease guys with small BBQ Pits!

Thou shalt not poke your meat with a fork!

Thou shalt not boil your ribs before you put them on the smoker!

Thus sayeth the ZILLA

I'll grant clemency on the log lighter, but I sure am sorry that you wasted all that money on a gas grill. Crying or Very sad
