It reads in C & F, allows you to calibrate it, and there's a button for max temp if you like to leave it in there and see how hot things got. I can't see how that product can be any better. It reads in a little more than 4 seconds, but not too slow at all.

yeah the thermapen is better than the taylor. It is the best on the market. |

Just ordered one in red, just in the nick of time before the sale closed. I'll have to keep using the "ouch method" (one mississippi, two mississippi) for the cooking temp for a while b/c I spent the money I had saved for a tel-tru dial thermo for the UDS. Oh well... can't wait for the new play toy to arrive! _________________ UDS |

I got my stealth phantom gray one in today. I hear it so fast and sneaky, that the meat doesn't even know, much remember having it's temperature taken.
Also, it will blend in with my other wireless probe, so, hopefully the wife won't notice this addition. _________________ Modified Landmann Black Dog 42 Grill & Smoker

Got my triple black with matching strap today. Already unpacked it and stashed it in the "Q" drawer. It's resting up for a long day checking brisket and butts tomorrow. _________________ "Alpha Hog" trailer mounted smoker
