I have a friend that cooks on the Kingfisher in competition and he won the Indiana State Championship last year in Carmel, Indiana. You don't see many at competitions but they seem to do well in some of the events.

Here in Oklahoma where they are made, you do see a few of them around. Mike (Allsmokenofire) uses his in competition and got calls at both contest I visited.

As soon as he can program it to analyze and store his rub formulas, he will be kicking a$$. Very Happy

/sorry Mike, I couldn't stop myself. Wink

Mike,

I think yours has the 6 trays, 4' long??

Mine only has 4 trays 3' long, I want to sell mine and by the next size up. That would give me double the cooking space.

I like the combos alot. I do a lot with Scout groups and being able to do steaks and burgers on the second side is nice. But I think it smokes much better on the rotissery side better than the flat side. I really like the steam feature. When I go brain dead and let it run out of water I can tell with the finished product.

I learned my lesson, now I write everything down.

I think I've got it figured out too, I guess we'll find out.

Looking forward to seeing you in Stillwater. Hope those Elks got the burn ban issue covered. Wink

Your correct Randy, I do have the 6 trays...that baby will cook a bunch of meat.
I love the smoker, but I quit using the water jacket after the 2nd time I cooked w/ it and haven't missed it a bit. It's a real pain in the butt to deal with at a comp when you have to haul in water to fill it and when I've got a decent load of meat in there I don't feel I need it.

Nice to see another Kingfisher fan here!
