Does it not bother you that you have to be out of the grounds by Midnite Saturday?

Their contest, their rules. I usually don't hang around anyway, and since this is a first time contest, I'm sure the local site (the Presidential Library) probably is a little freaky anyway.

Good Point David.

I was almost up to my knees in water at the Jack so it will be much nicer to be dry on pavement.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Should be an interesting day or so. Freezing rain in Little Rock today and tomorrow is forecast.

Ah, hope everyone has a warm trailer to hide out in....

Looks like a very nice turnout for the event. Weather has been in the low 40's with a high of 50 today. Hopefully the weather will hold off for us today. .38 Special had to cut short their time on the stage but put on a decent show in front of some soaked fans. Have met some great people here...many from this site. I do appreciate the assistance --- especially the shrimp. Good stuff from our friends from Trolly Time next door. Thanks.

I was going to post results but saw you beat me to it.

The weather didn't just sound terrible - It Was! - and I missed the worst of it.

Congrats to all!

IT was great to meet so many people. Huget congrats to Jacks old South and Pellet Envy.

That pork was horrible Mike and I knew it Ugh. Too mushy for sure. It was a big challenge for us to use different equipment and meats but fun for sure.

I think though it was the coldest and wettest comp I have ever done.

Did el presidente (Clinton) ever show up? I burned out right after judging because of the weather. We were sitting in 2-4" of mud to judge!

Great to see everyone this weekend, even though the weather was a downer.

Congrats to Bruskee, Mutha, and David for some fine finishes. Cool

Russ....nice rib call, sorry the rest of it didn't go well....you can blame it on your dishwasher. Wink

Diva, nice call on the chicken using borrowed equipment and stuff smuggled through customs. Laughing

Mutha, it was great to meet you and hang out for awhile on Friday night. Diva, great to see you again too. Wink

Also got to meet Mike Lawry and 1MoreFord(Joe) on Saturday. Sorry we didn't have more time to visit.

It was great to see old friends and meet some new ones.

I apologize because I know I'm leaving a few folks out. The magic margaritas cast a pretty potent spell on Friday night. Laughing Laughing Laughing

It was nice to meet some of the members of the Ring and put faces to the names. Congrats to all the teams who got calls. Being this was our first time to go up against teams that have been doing this a lot longer than I have, getting our call in ribs far exceeded our expectations for this competition. I just wish the weather was a lot better but hey that's life.

Hope everybody got home safe. We are going to take April off due to other conflicts but be back in May at Claremore.

It was nice to finally meet some of the members of the Ring and put faces to the names. Sorry I couldn't get to visit all the tents, maybe next time.

Again, congrats to all that came out and got calls.

While I can't blame it all on him, maybe the ALL day margarita's on Friday and Beers at the bar Friday night had something to do with it.

Congrats on the 3rd place... I know how GOOD that feels and that's some good $$$ too, what cha buyin now?

Great to meet the ringers, next time we'll have to have a party, when the weather isn't so bad.

Thanks Scott, Was great to finnaly meet you, All I can say is.......STUPID CHICKEN! didn't know we were even in the running. We'll not for anything big, But was suprised that we finnished that high with so little calls, Guess that's what a Big cookoff will do for ya!

Okie, Deadringer, and ASNF what a great time! Thanks so much for the words of wisdom, Or was that Apple Pie?? Laughing

Diva, it was great to hang with you, I'll be your nieghbor anytime!

What a great contest. Many of high profile cookers there, Got to talk to alot of cookers and just ringers that came out. I sure would like to make it down that way again. I had a blast, and would like to thank everyone for making me feel welcome. Mabey next time without all of our own distractions. First of the year we had a little rust to work out. But we are ready now for the rest of the season. Have some pics will try to get them up later.
