Although this is in the "sides' section, we made a meal out of just this tonight. I de-boned a pork shoulder from a wild hog I had in the freezer this weekend and kept the bone and some trimmings for this pot of Black Eyed Peas I made today. In the crockpot this morning went the bone with some meat attached from the shoulder, the trimmings, jalapenos, bacon, salt & pepper. It has brewed all day makin' the house smell quite good! We then whipped up some cornbread and dug in!
