POS/backoffice reviews needed

Boy is this confusing, I am buying an existing small bbq restaurant with pencil and paper technology and am looking to install a pos/backoffice system. PCAmerica looks ok and is reasonably priced. Anyone had experience with it?

I am using Focus and am really happy with it. The only problem I have encountered was on our first & second day of business we had a button called, "Fire" which would shoot orders to the kitchen and split tickets. This caused long food wait times. On the third day it was obviously deleted.

Thanks Sugar, I have been reading your odyssey and it had been so much fun to see what you have done. I did call Focus but they don't have anyone in N. CAL and I want local support if possible.

We are using restaurant manager with 2 registers and 1 kitchen printer. We have been going for almost a year now and the only problem that I had was when they uploaded a new version of software that had a glich and was quickly resolved.
