Thanks guys.

I could use some advice from you pipefitters out there on marking mitre joints for torch cutting pipe. I had to do some spacing as you can see.

I got the log lighter/gas assist done today (among other things). Sorry, no pics yet. My camera is charging on top of the microwave at the shop. I think my comment to Shannon today was: "once I dumped that housewife grade Home Depot BS propane coupler and hooked up one from a welding shop that I had I got that jet engine flow I was looking for." Now we have a log loghter.

Roof and sides tomorrow. Axles due in on Friday.

I have been watching your build from the begining. It is looking great. I can't wait to find a tank so I can start a build similar.

Hey Big Tom, Where did that huge rig end up? I'm sure she's still cooking somewhere.

It's kinda like I told Shannon today when he and Stel were joking about Shannon's son cooking on this rig. I said "shoot, by that time you will be over this toy and on to a rotisserie or something" Only time will tell.

Spent the better part of the afternoon helping D with the rig - he did all the hard stuff - my job was to help out where I could - it was a lot of fun - I really enjoyed it, pretty cool having a hand in helping it come together. I mostly just held stuff, grabbed tools etc - but hopefully I was a good helper Wink

D gettin after it -

D welding in brackets for the graywater tank -

Testing the graywater tank fitment -

D grinding welds around graywater tank area -

Testing the graywater tank fitment one more time -

Looking great, Guys. Top notch.

Can you elaborate on what you're doing for the water heater and the other plumbing?

Much thanks.

I don't know about the plumbing as whole (feel free to elaborate D) - but we're using one of the tankless hot water heaters, runs on propane and uses a D cell battery to ignite it - along with a Shur-Flo RV water pump and a 2 gallon accumulator tank to keep pressure good. We have a 40 gallon freshwater and 35 gallong graywater tank for storage. I also have a RV monitoring panel from Ebay with the switch for the water pump and showing how much liquid is in each tank.

I bought an eccotemp tankless hot water heater from the net (http://www.eccotemp.com/gas.htm - the L5 model)

The water tanks and RV water pump (ShurFlo 2.8 GPM RV Trailer Water Pump 2088-422-144/444) were from Ebay and the accumulator tank from Lowe's (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=160654-48324-LPT-2&lpage=none)

Now will all this work?!? I sure hope so - I did a LOT of reading on RV forums and called the manufacturers of each product before ordering and told them what I was up to and they all let me know it should work etc. So lets keep our fingers crossed Wink

Hope this helps and answers your question a bit.

Looks good Shannon.

But.............................the grey water tank is usually 15% larger than fresh for obvious reasons! Wink

Thanks BBQman!

Yeah - I thought about that as well - and you're right - but I'm thinking that at most comps we're allowed to let water run towards a sewage drain or somethig like that and worst case we'll drain the tank a bit early - most of it will be dishwashing water - so I don't think it'll be a huge deal - or maybe carry one 5 gallon empty bucket with us in case we have to empty early - I know it wasn't the perfect choice - but hopefully it'll work out ok. - thanks for your thoughts though - appreciate ya watching out for me Wink
