Looking great, Guys. Top notch.

Can you elaborate on what you're doing for the water heater and the other plumbing?

Much thanks.

I don't know about the plumbing as whole (feel free to elaborate D) - but we're using one of the tankless hot water heaters, runs on propane and uses a D cell battery to ignite it - along with a Shur-Flo RV water pump and a 2 gallon accumulator tank to keep pressure good. We have a 40 gallon freshwater and 35 gallong graywater tank for storage. I also have a RV monitoring panel from Ebay with the switch for the water pump and showing how much liquid is in each tank.

I bought an eccotemp tankless hot water heater from the net (http://www.eccotemp.com/gas.htm - the L5 model)

The water tanks and RV water pump (ShurFlo 2.8 GPM RV Trailer Water Pump 2088-422-144/444) were from Ebay and the accumulator tank from Lowe's (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=160654-48324-LPT-2&lpage=none)

Now will all this work?!? I sure hope so - I did a LOT of reading on RV forums and called the manufacturers of each product before ordering and told them what I was up to and they all let me know it should work etc. So lets keep our fingers crossed Wink

Hope this helps and answers your question a bit.

Thanks a lot Vexter. That helps a lot. Much appreciated.

vexter1, I thought you would like a heads up advice on your ventless water heater. The inlet solenoid valve has a tendency to get plugged up and the only fix is a replacement. I found this out the hard way. Highly recommend using a water filter on the inlet side if you havent done so allready. Everything looks great.

Thank you very much for the tip - I'll get one ordered to be on the safe side. Appreciate the compliments as well!

I called Eccotemp up and they said its not needed. Im guessing your new water heater must have a inline prescreen.

Somehow I stopped getting notified of replies to this thread of all threads.

Chuck, grab your hood and come on down and run a few pounds of ER70S-6. Free Beer!

AW, those are springs I use for my furniture that I cut up for other things that look cool, like handles.

Thanks to everyone for the words and advice. We are in the home stretch push.

The battle cry from here on: That which does not kill me makes me stronger!

Spent my Friday with D helping out - as usual - was a great time - really enjoyed it!

We worked on skinning the roof - and finished it - now that sounds simple - but after all the steps involved and working about 10 hours or so, the roof wasn't simple at all - lots of intricate work.

I'd like to head this update up by saying the following - after working on this thing with D a couple of times, it's really given me a new perspective on how much work goes into building a pit - you can see the overall end product in your head - but getting there - WOW - the intricate work and details are the killers - and how D does most of this work by himself is beyond me - so hats off to D and you other builders out there that do this - tough work - no doubt about it!

Everything is shaping up well - so here come the pics!

A shot of what she looked like whe I arrived in the morning -

Axles have been mounted -

Tongue and hitch have been mounted -

Work table (swings out) and Weber grill holder (swings out too) -

Roof starting to come together and you can see from underside -

Another shot from under the canopy the red stuff is primer to keep from rusting -

A serious testimate to D's building skills - the roof holding me Laughing -

The roof screwed on - my arm is still sore from all the drilling Laughing -

Flip side test drive -

A shot of D screwing in the side skin for the 'flip' part -

Side partially skinned - you can see how she'll look during transport -

Sink under storage door frames -

Overall shot of how it will look when deployed -
