Smoked them Sat. for about 1.5 hours at 250;

I'm assuming crockpot from the pic. Sirsmokealot, how did they hold up? I've tried this before and they tend to get mushy over time. I'm always looking to up my A-game w/ tailgating. _________________ Go, Pack. Go!!

Since we were going to a party the crock pot was the only way to keep warm. This particular one has a "keep warm" setting that is all I use for wings. They hold up fine, especially when they are the 1st ones gone. If they sit for 5,6,7 hrs. sure they'll get mushy, but how else are you going to keep 'em warm?

Yes, they turn out crispy, be prepared to use high heat and manage the flare-ups and they'll be perfectly charred and crispy. _________________ The Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille

Something you have me thinking about is the "quantity" of rub. It hadn't donned on me to merely sprinkle a portion of rub on the wings vs. coating them. These look awesome and I'll try just the sprinkling.
