All right boys and girls, it's that time of year, where we have the BEST excuse to grill and/or smoke. I'm looking to see what you all are planning for the big game and maybe I'll just steal an idea or two!!! _________________ "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

Not smoking but making an 8 layer "dip". It's a meal in it's self. _________________ The Demolition Man - Demolition Man BBQ |

I will be burning semi-synthetic 2-stroke oil to make smoke on superbowl Sunday while I am out assaulting the woods and hills on the snowmobile.
I find the smell of snowmobile exhaust way more exhilerating than what comes out of most cookers. _________________ Just remember that the toes you may step on during your climb to the top will also be attached to the a$$es you'll be forced to kiss on your way back down! |

Last year, I made 100 ABTs that didn't even last until half time. This year, I think i'm going to make some moink balls and some pulled pork eggrolls. (I need to test both of those out since I plan on making them for my mom's wedding in March.) _________________ Kids call me paycheck, 'cause i'm so money.

Harry I like the sound of your Bowl party. Nothin beats the smell of 2-smoke exhaust in the morning.. Have fun and how about posting some pics of the Ride? _________________ Lang 84 delux long neck chargrill.

I am thinking a brisket and possibly some moink balls or abt's depending on who is coming over to watch the game. Definately a brisket. _________________ "if you cant cook it in bacon grease it ain't worth eating"

I'm thinking baby backs, moink balls and wings. The wife is going to make some pigs in the blanket for the kiddies.

I am kinda getting the craving for ribs, and I have a case of STL's in the freezer. But the stumps cooker is in a storage unit on the other side of the property and I do not feel like firing the DPP for just a few racks, and I do not feel like dragging the stumps across the parking area. Damn I wish we had a BBQ restaurant nearby.
I don't think I could travelto a BBQ restaurant on the sled becuase most decent bbq spots do not have snowmobile trails to get to them.
Here is a picture of the sled behind the DPP-70, it is 900cc's of pure adrenaline overdose with just a squeeze of the throttle.

The game is on February 1st at 6pm, but it will be hard to watch since the Patriots aren't involved this year, although most people are happy about that.
But I'm really looking forward to NASCAR this season. Hopefully the #29 team can improve upon last year and finally win the chase. _________________ "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

Yeah, that's a tough pill to swallow. I'm a McNabb fan, and I hope Philly doesn't blame him for the loss, it was your defense that blew it for you guys. _________________ "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

Are you grilling or smoking those wings, because I'm liking your idea on that, but I've never done wings before. _________________ "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

I'm actually doing indirect grilling probably at about 300' -325 on the Hasty- Bake. But there will be a chunk or two of hickory added for smoke flavor.
I'm using a recipe out of Stephen Raichlin's BBQ U.S.A book. He has about 4-5 recipes in there for wings.
I haven't decided on which recipe but I know it will have Maytag blue cheese dipping sauce. They only take about 30-40 minutes to cook.
If you don't have his book I can copy a recipe for you. Here's one recipe.I might go for the Louisville wings. But there is a recipe from Anchor Bar in Buffallo where they supposedly were invented that i might try. Here's the Calgary wing recipe.
