What Happened to Rudy's? (TX)

Yesterday I was at an event at the Leon Springs Dance Hall located across the street from the original Rudy's Barbecue near Boerne TX. Rudy's catered it. I guess Rudy's is a victem or its own success. Dry brisket. Sausage had the consistency of cased Jello.

I hadn't had Rudy's in several years. I remember it being good and there is still always a line out the door. I've never been to any of his franchise locations. Maybe it was just a bad batch. I was so watered up for good barbecue. At least the beer was cold!
