My in-laws hate BBQ beans, unless I cook these.
Ingredients
Bush's Original Baked Beans
Bacon (uncooked, whole slice)
Brown Sugar
Honey
Yellow Mustard
Diced Vidalia Onion (1/2 - 1)
Worcestershire Sauce
Crystals Hot Sauce
Instructions
Mix all ingredients togethar (amounts according to taste) except for the bacon. Pour into casserole dish and layer the top completely with the bacon. Bake uncovered at 325-350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours |

I found one recently that has become our favorite .
Your favorite store bought baked beans / sweet baby ray sauce / dry mustard / maple syrup / brown sugar / a few strips of bacon / apple cider vinegar and a couple of peeled , cored and diced apples . Let em simmer in a crock pot for several hours . MMMMMMMMMM _________________ "People call me lazy , but God knows I'm only tired." |

| That's cheating! I don't mind bbq beans, but I've yet to taste anyone's beans that can beat my Dad's recipe. I won't give the details in measurments but here we go. Start out with homemade ham and bean soup using smoked pork hocks and diced ham. Then after draining off enough liquid adding the right amounts of brown sugar, molasses and ketchup. On top of that add sliced Eckrich skinless smoked sausage and even some cut up hot dogs. Now with all of this in a fairly large oven safe dish top with strips of some good bacon from the butcher's counter and bake. I don't care what anyone says. I can make a meal off of that with some corn bread any day. |
