Hey guys, i need a to smoke something that will take around 4 hours or so for dinner tonight. I have whole turkey here, and i was thinkin smoked turkey legs, like at the county fair type of thing. Is that do-able? (any other suggestions for a quick somke would be appreciated. Thanks

Whole Chicken, seasoned and stuffed with a can of beer. Should take about 2-3 hours.

Sausage can also be done in that time, but I would do a chicken first. Sausage should be served with something else...no wait a minute...sausage is just fine on its own. Heck, your call!

My family really enjoys smoked pork chops. I simply rub them, smoke them until they hit 170 (about 2 hours) and serve them with sauce on the side. Easy and good!!

I would do a pork loin they only take about 3 hours.Rub it down smoke between 250-275 and pull at 160.

Try smoking the breast, they are big enough to feed 4 ro 5 with some left overs and should fit your time frame.

thanks fellas, i realized the turkey would take way to long to thaw out, so i ended up trying out the beer can chicken thing and everyone enjoyed it quite thoroughly. No pics though Sad sorry

Can't go wrong with the chicken thing. I smoked two on Sunday and they are in the fridge now. Had some cubed up on a cob salad last night.

You are so right Steve-O........I am not allowed to start the smoker without throwing on a couple of beer can chickens......the wife loves it and the meat is perfectly tender for our 1 year old.
