http://www.pickyourown.org/gaapples.php

Now I know that's not actually applewood, but if you think orchards, you'll find a few around the GA area, and this was a place I found on a Google search, and not knowing the area at all.

Phone them and see if they are re-planting anytime soon, put the info on your calender and away you go.

There are lots of apple growers in north Ga. If you are willing to make the drive I'm sure you can find someone who has stuff to sell. What area do you live in and how much are you looking for?

That's the place to look. I found a few years back when I was looking for Peach Wood if I just called the peach farmers they always have some older trees they want cut down, many times if you cut it they will give you the wood.

The DoItBest hardware chain is now carrying Texas Smoke brand wood chunks including apple, and you can order on-line with free ship to store. Looks like there are several DoItBest stores in the Atlanta, GA area that have free ship to store available.
