I've been lurking for a little while now and finally decided to let my presence be known.

I just bought a Chargriller Wrangler this summer, before realizing I probably should have gotten something a little bigger. But that's OK, a couple of months ago I bought a side firebox and this thing is now a pretty decent little smoker. So far, since breaking in the SFB, I've smoked 3 Boston Butts, about 7 or 8 slabs of ribs, and some ABTs. I've been grilling for years, but that's just not near as much fun/work.

I'm working on coming up with some kind of baffle system so I can even out the temps a little bit from one side to the other. Currently, I'm getting as much as a 100* difference, and that makes me afraid to use my entire grate surface. I generally keep things close to the fire side and avoid the "cold" side.

I'm getting a lot of really good ideas from this place and I hope to be around for quite a while.

Welcome to the ring. I sure that if you do a search, you'll find a thread about the mods for your smoker.
