For those of you who own one of these, does it matter which one I get for my Pro Q Frontier? I know the stem lengths can be either 2.5" or 4". I'm thinking I need the 4". Any advice?

Chris

The stem length depends on where you plan on putting it (on the ProQ of course). Shocked

I mounted a 2.5 incher opposite the vent in the lid of my WSM and I'm worried it may interfere with a whole turkey I'm planning on cooking next week. A 4 inch stem would defiantly interfere with most anything on the top grate.

I actually never thought about that. I was just going to replace my existing one, with the new one.

Decide where you want your thermometer to read the temperature and just make sure it doesn't interfere with the food.
You could take a towel and roll it up to say the size and shape of a turkey and place it in your smoker. and try to determine if it will touch the towel.
