Do anyone know where I can buy hickery logs in South Florida in the Palm Beaches at?

You are pretty much SOL on hickory south of Gainsville unless you plan on paying a pretty penny for it.

Check with a local smokehouse and see where they get theirs- if they use it that is.

Around here, oak is the smoke. Fruit trees are OK too.

Australian Pine makes a good wood for smoking (the only smokeable pine I am aware of). Many call it "south Florida hickory".

I look into that awhile back. The Australian Pine is actually a member of the Oak Family. I have not had the balls to try it yet however.
I love Mango and know all the neighbor hoods that have large oak trees. I cruise them during bulk pickup (trash) days and I have been able to keep myself a good supply of oak on hand.

Try this guy he carries Oak, all the time and usually has one of these mesquite, hickory, and cherry.

It actually being oak makes since. I have used it for years with good results.
