Texman had a good idea on seeing what's "out there" in roadside attractions.

I came across this outfit while running errands earlier:

Sweet BBQ Bus

Comes with Towable Unit!

Funny thing is that my BIL works for a large auction house in the area. I was looking at a bus in the yard the other day with him trying to figure out how you could make a sweet BBQ rig. Laughing
Thanks

Not a bad idea actually, one that I considered myself.

For towing, the long porch in back of the wheels would be squirrely at best. A little movement at the front wheels equals a lot of movement at the trailer hitch............................

This set-up is not legal for roadside vending here, I'm wondering how the guy gets it past the HD (it's parked in front of their sub shop)

I also don't like the idea of being tied to the bus option.

When it's all said and done (if you already own a truck) going with a trailer like mine is both more cost effective and practical.

How about those classic Buick rims on the tow-able? Almost offsets the rust bucket patina cooker! Laughing

I travel with my camera these days, there is some good stuff out there in my area.

Not sure but it almost looks like the side with the mural lifts up to make an awning. Just curious but why couldn’t you use it roadside?

Nope never mind. Next picture it looks to tight to be an awning!

Yeah that is a lot of weight on the rear, especially with trailer in tow.

This bus is from IL. Needs to be screened for FL MFDV. OK for catering.

I was in Lynchburg this past weekend for the Jack Daniels Barbecue Invitational and about twenty miles shy of Lynchburg was a bbq restaurant that caught my eye, so I stopped in to take a look. The pit was in front of the rant, a towable smoker with a shead built over it and wood stacked all around. No screen or walls, just a roof over head. It was pouring rain that day so, I didn't get any pics. I was amazed that the HD allowed that to pass as a restaurant pit with no walls or screens. And I'll bet the public wanders in and takes a peak and a taste now and then!

I went to fill my propane tanks at the local KOA on my way to Sam's Club yesterday.

I did stop for a breakfast sammie at this snack shack.

The guy had a hand washing sink, utensil sinks etc, and everything looked clean.

He got some bacon out of the fridge, then got the eggs on the griddle.

Never washed his hands.

Then a guy came up and wanted a cheeseburger.

Got the raw meat out of the fridge, and it too went on the grill.

Never washed his hands.

Then my sammie got put together and handed over.

Yummy! Shocked Confused Mad Rolling Eyes

My friend Chris' new wood fired pizza oven!

He is a new vendor at the market.

This set-up was very cool, never seen anything quite like it.

Clean operation. Gloves, hand washing sink, everything is spotless

The pizza was awesome!

I pay attention to these types of things guys, that's how I got into the BBQ trouble (businss) I'm in now! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Not my fault, I'm just "Bill Blaze the Idea Guy" Cool

bbqboy, if I went this route, it would be pasta AND pizza! Wink

As I'm BBQMAN, I don't currently aspire to be PIZZAMAN, or even PIZZABOY, or perhaps PASTA RASTA PIZZA DUDE, or ,or, or, or................. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

It's BBQ primarily, and the occasional lobster bake on the beach, but I thought it was a very kool idea.
