I too am looking into these. Just for reference, HERE is a link showing some models with reviews. _________________ A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure. |

I've got the V2440. I like it. It fits nice on top of my toaster oven, so it's never a hassle to pull out and use. I know they make an upright model now that has a smaller footprint, but that wouldn't work as well in my odd kitchen.
That said, I absolutely love my Reynolds Handi-Vac. You can't go wrong for 10 bucks. It is great for stuff you get at a lot, like cheese, but I've had good success with it for freezing meats in the freezer, too. I reuse the bags by wrapping the frozen item in plastic wrap first. Sometimes you get a bag that won't keep a seal, but you will run into that with the FS, too. Some people I know like using the cannisters with the FS, but they take up too much room for me. I use them both, but it's probably 10 to 1 in favor of the handi-vac. |

I have an older FS and it is still going strong. I dont think you can go wrong with one. The only draw bask is the bags are a little on the pricey side but woth it in the long run.A whole pork butt wont fit even in the big bag. I have to cut mine in half to get them to fit. _________________ free is better than cheap!! |
